Yoga for Health – Films Division of India prepared its’ first documentary on Yoga at and under the supervision of The Yoga Institute. The film “Yoga for Health” is in English and in Hindi. (1950) – serving as a reminder that yoga is “Something rather different from the vanity circus it has become” – love that quote from Kiran Yoga!
Patanjali Yoga Sutras – widely regarded as the authoritative text on yoga – is a collection of aphorisms, outlining the eight limbs of yoga. These “threads” (as sutra translates from Sanskrit) of wisdom offer guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life.
Yamas and Niyamas– are ten good common sense guidelines for leading a healthier, happier life, bringing spiritual awareness into a social context and forming the first two of Eight Limbs of Yoga
The Mahabharata– the epic from which the Bhagavad Gita originates

Sit Spot… If you get the chance, find a spot where you can sit and observe each of your senses, one at a time….what can you see from that same spot? What can you hear, smell, feel and can you ‘taste’ the air?
